COVID-19. It has touched every single one of us around the world. It is a war that knows no borders, forcing society to halt. World leaders and governments are pleading with citizens to stay at home, and save lives. And we should listen. Social distancing and staying at home is our best chance at defeating this virus. But we understand this is not easy. We have become accustomed to always having something to do, and at times, too much to do. More times than not, we struggle to meet deadlines, and are chasing down time. As everything comes to a halt, it comes as a shock to our system. Learn a New Language
Have you always wanted to learn a new language, but never had the time? Well, now you do. Apps like Babble and Duolingo are online platforms where you can learn a range of new languages. Now all you need to do is decide which language to learn. Maybe consider your favourite holiday place, and learn the native language. As a bonus, learning a new language can improve your brain health, so you can keep busy and help your brain.
Play a Board Game
It may be the time to go into your loft and get out the board games. In the age of technology, many may have forgotten the competitiveness and fun of board games like Monopoly and Cluedo, but now is the perfect time to start playing again.
Make a Scrapbook
With the current global climate, it is easy to feel worried and scared. In times like this, it is important to be positive and optimistic. Reminiscing fun memories by making a scrapbook can remind you of better times, and gives you a keepsake you.
Read a Book
Reading is something you may have to do for University, or your job. But now is your chance to read something that you want to. If reading is not for you, for many books, there is always the option of watching the movie. But, there are some details and emotions that the big screen just cannot convey. So, make yourself a cup of coffee, and snuggle up on the couch with a book.
Exercise
Some may struggle to find ways to stay fit whilst in the house, However, by using a bit of your imagination, you may see more similarities between your house and the gym.
