What is Dementia?
Dementia is a general term (not a specific disease) that describes a group of symptoms which negatively impacts memory severe enough to interfere with daily life.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia with 60-80% of cases, while Vascular Dementia is the second most common dementia type. Nevertheless, there are many other conditions that cause symptoms of dementia. As opposed to Alzheimer’s, some forms of dementia are reversible.

7 reasons why you don't have to go to the gym
1) You can roll out of bed and start working out There is no better feeling than a morning workout. You don’t have to drive for 20 or 30 minutes, but you can literally start your workout the moment you roll out of bed. It doesn’t need to be a 5k run, but why not start your day with some Yoga? 2) You can wear whatever you want You don’t have to buy fancy (and often expensive) workout clothes, you can wear your glasses, don’t have to put on your makeup, and you don’t even have to brush your hair before starting your workout. 3) You can workout in shifts This is true specifically for parents and grandparents with smaller children. We know that in the 30 minutes of uninterrupted time, you just want to sit back and relax. But, how about implementing three 10-minute intervals during your morning, afternoon and/or evening?! It will be absolutely worth it! 4) Fitness and its health effects also happen in the kitchen It is important that you not only start with a workout routine, but also implement a healthier diet. Research suggest that 80% of how you look and feel comes from nutrition.
5) These germs are your own Just image, it’s flu season, or there is any other germ going around. In these situations, it is a blessing that you do not have to worry about the sweaty guy or girl who just wiped down the stepper. 6) Gym schedules don’t dictate your routine That one total body workout class is at the same time as you would need to pick up your kids or grandkids from school. If you workout at home, you can start your exercise whenever it is convenient for you. 7) You have to educate yourself about fitness Having not the whole gym equipment in your home means that you have to get creative. And for getting creative, you have to spend some time learning about fitness and a healthy routine. The MindMate app offers you at home workouts for every age group and fitness level, which is a good starting point for your fitness education. All in all, it is important to choose the workout routine that is right for you. If you don’t find time to take care of yourself, please make it. At MindMate, we truly believe that just even 10 minutes per day can already make a difference.
